The NEW Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop
A unique facility for people who want to create, learn about and enjoy sculpture.

In order to significantly expand our artistic, education and outreach programmes Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop (ESW) is planning to build a unique new sculpture centre on our present site.

Designed by award-winning local architects Sutherland Hussey, the expanded facilities will allow ESW to provide professional support and resources for emerging and established artists and a vibrant and inspiring atmosphere for community learning and development. The high quality of artistic and public services available within the new building will establish ESW as a vital local community resource and an internationally recognized centre of excellence.

The new sculpture centre will include vital new learning, research and project development spaces, professional workshop and IT facilities and up to 30 artist studios. In addition, two new residency spaces will create exciting opportunities for international exchanges and collaboration. The building will be fully-accessible with capacity increasing by at least 100% to an estimated 25,000 users and visitors per year.

We have already raised £4 million towards the project and now need just over £550,000 to make the project happen.
