There are four categories of membership to suit different requirements. 

PROFESSIONAL – £44 (Concessions £33)

For professional artists based in Scotland who need access to space and specialist equipment, to the professional network and support provided by ESW, and information on artists opportunities. 

PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS:

·       Free IT Suite use of i-Mac & e-Mac (except Film Editing i-Mac which is charged at session rate)

·       Exclusive opportunity to exhibit at ESW’s annual Open Day

·       Opportunity to apply to sit on ESW’s Artistic Committee

·       Opportunity to apply for support through the ESW MEMBERS FUND

·       15% discount on the Sculpture Courses programme

·       Invitation to openings of ESW exhibitions

Eligibility criteria: any 4 of the following:

·       Graduated from a recognised school of art

·       Received one or more public body / corporate commissions or four or more private commissions

·       Had two or more public exhibitions,  and/or public installations and/or public performances (not including degree show) or been invited to exhibit in a professional exhibition

·       Received one or more prizes, awards or bursaries for professional practice

·       Engaged by contractual agreement in an artist’s placement scheme (e.g. a residency)

·       Work purchased for one or more public collections or four or more private collections

·       Work available for sale through one or more commercial galleries or agents within the last five years

·       Membership of one or more professional associations or societies

·       Artwork reviewed or featured in an art journal, magazine or newspaper

INTERNATIONAL – £32 (Concessions £24)

For professional artists living outside Scotland who don’t need access to workshop facilities but would benefit from access to networking and professional opportunities.

ORDINARY – £40 (Concessions £30)

For non-professional artists who need access to facilities and equipment, this membership also gives 15% discount on ESW’s range of evening and weekend Sculpture Courses.

ORDINARY MEMBERS BENEFITS:

·       Access to workshop facilities and equipment at members rate

·       Free weekly e-newsletter

·       Free IT Suite use of i-Mac & e-Mac (except Film Editing i-Mac which is charged at session rate)

·       15% discount on the Sculpture Courses programme (course participants are invited to show course work in EMERGENCE, the exhibition of work from the sculpture courses programme)

SUPPORTER – £20 (Concessions £15)

For all supporters of Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop.
