Project Spaces
To facilitate larger project work, ESW has a dedicated Project Space and a multi-purpose Education Space which can be booked on a daily, weekly or monthly basis for research, production and commissioned work.

Located alongside the workshops, the Project Space (5m x 4m) provides a clear area in which to produce larger scale works, research new processes, experiment with presentation and document and exhibit work.
The Project Space can be hired from a minimum of 1 day up to 1 month at a time. For specific details on dimensions, access and services please follow the links at the foot of the page to download the particulars.
Other aspects of artist’s practice including projects, performance or research can also be accommodated. Please contact Gordon Munro, Assistant Director for further information.

At the centre of ESW, the Education Space provides a large, multi-use space for a variety of activities from carving, modelling, casting, performance and installation. As its name suggests, the predominant use is for ESW's education programme that runs throughout the year in the evenings and at weekends. During the day, however, it is available for artists to book a bench space in order to work.
With access to a sink, power and a variety of lighting, the Education Space is ideal for table-based working as well as larger scale work. This space is ideal for project work which includes large groups of artists or students.
Due to the many demands on this space it is not always possible to have exclusive use for a specific time although it is possible to arrange for daily or weekly hire depending on availability & demand.
Please contact Sam Stead, Workshop Manager to discuss your requirements.
