Open call for guest editors to participate in creative editing service at Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop.

This is a call out for artists, writers and editors to volunteer for a short shift as editor as part of the Edits-While-U-Wait service, an ongoing free editing service for art writers and artists who use text as part of their practice.

Edits-While-U-Wait is a space where editing can be experienced aesthetically, collectively and performatively. An open call for writing submissions will provide the material for editing. This service is designed to test the role of the editor, using activities such as correction, transcription, interpretation, and feedback, with an emphasis on the part played by the editor in the production of a text.

The service will run from 10:00 until 17:00 on the 25th of April at ESW, divided into 3 x 2-hour shifts: 10:00-12:00, 13:00-15:00, and 15:00-17:00, with a maximum of 4 editors per shift. The service will be followed by a screening of Symbiopsychotaxiplasm by William Greaves at 18:00.

If you are interested in signing up for one of our slots, alone or with a partner, then contact Claire at claire.walsh@live.ie for more information. Deadline: 18 April.
