Clay Portrait

Wednesday evenings

Working with a model for the first 8 weeks, this course teaches how to produce a life-sized portrait head in clay. The final session is without a model to allow for the hollowing out stage. Heads are then kept at ESW until dry (minimum 6 weeks) and then fired, all of which is included in the course cost. Finishing techniques and methods for presentation of finished pieces will be discussed in the later classes.
