Biography

Essentially I am interested in the relationship between our world and that of the seed, specifically the germinating seed.

My fascination for the germination process underpins many works in both indoor and outdoor situations.

I find this dynamic growth stage has many parallels both with our own physical and internal development, and attempt to convey this complex and mystifying phenomenon through many media.

A recent series of work has focused upon staple food crop seed such as soya, rice and wheat, and I am currently producing works on the cultivated potato for exhibition in the Edinburgh Art Festival 2010.
