'If you're trying to find an alternative reality, leaving doesn't do it. It provides an alternative immediate reality, but no radical difference to any other everyday. The fundamentals, the precepts, become the same, in time, after adjustment.
But ritual, whilst privy to and dependant upon the same everyday due to the body's physical limitations and mind's capabilities (without drugs), seemingly transports out of reality despite being held within these confines. As human contrivance is the precursor to such action it becomes that repetition, selected movement or free-form expression provide a route to surpassing the expected or real, a way to 'beat' reality...'
