Biography

Aeneas Wilder works in a number of disciplines including installation, video, photography, time-based art, performance and public art

In 1998 Aeneas Wilder began to work with uniform lengths of wood, without any fixing materials, to make free standing and increasingly complex, structures that are highly original. The severe limits within the building of each work bring a discipline to the creative process that allows for infinite possibilities within these restricted parameters. His work is characterized by simplicity, precision and economy, while at the same time the works explore conceptually complex themes and ideas. These works articulate ideas about time and space, relativity, natural forces and human experience.

Aeneas Wilder has exhibited his works extensively in Europe, North America and Japan.
