Careers

Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop is a publicly funded organisation so staff posts are advertised and recruitment is managed through an application and interview process.

ESW is committed to promoting employability for artists. We ensure that practising artists are employed in key areas of the organisation such as artistic programming and technical support.

Artists are regularly employed on a freelance basis to deliver the education and professional development programmes and to lead community and arts projects.

Internships

In 2010 we set up an intern programme with Edinburgh College of Art for students in all levels and disciplines. These positions are voluntary and provide an excellent opportunity to get involved with the contemporary art scene in Scotland and gain valuable experience towards pursuing a professional career in the arts.

Internships enable graduates to learn about different aspects of the organisation or to shadow ESW artists in their careers.
